Our Hero, our story, our heritage..
1944, late into WWll in the northern mountains of Italy on the strategic "Gothic Line." John Fox (Giovanni Volpe), an American soldier, finds himself and his squad outnumbered and outgunned by Nazi troops. To save the town and turn the tide of the war, he and a small band of Italian partisans divert all of the enemy to his position and he calls in an airstrike, knowing it will cost him his life.
His heroic act saves the town Sommacolonia, and was a pivotal moment that "turned the tide of the war", and "stopped the spread of Tyranny all across the world."
